| Normally a four to five
month project, the owner's temporary residence was sold and the job had to be completed in
just over three and a half months. Top Quality did all design and construction drawings and applied for and received
a variance to allow for construction. The process included attendance at city and
public meetings.
In the lower level, the existing
bathroom and laundry room were moved into the new addition with the laundry room measuring
10' x 12'. Two new 50 gallon high efficiency water heaters were installed as well as
a new high efficiency furnace.
On the main level, the kitchen was
removed and installed in the new addition. The new kitchen includes a built-in
booth, low voltage under cabinet lighting, skylights, walk-in pantry, with a door to the
new deck with log railings. New French doors will be added to the dining room.
The old master bedroom was expanded to
include a new study with French doors, new walk-in closet and a laundry chute to the lower
level laundry room.
Next the roof and removed and a new
upper level was added to accommodate the new master suite, three new bedrooms and two new
bathrooms. A new furnace was installed in the attic and R-40 insulation was added in
the ceiling.
The master suite includes two walk-in
closets, bathroom with marbled shower enclosure with a built-in bench, laundry chute to
lower level, and sliding door to private upper deck with log railings. |
